Elizabeth Angle Frisco, TX Sledding Accident: Gracie Brito Critically Injured, Braxton Tucker, 16, Charged with Manslaughter

A tragic sledding accident in Frisco has claimed the life of Elizabeth โ€œLizzyโ€ Angle, a 16-year-old student at Wakeland High School, and left another teenager critically injured. Authorities confirmed that a 16-year-old boy, Braxton Tucker, has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the incident.

Emergency Response and Location

Frisco police were called shortly before 2:30 p.m. Sunday to the area of Majestic Gardens Drive and Killian Court. Responding officers located two 16-year-old girls suffering from life-threatening injuries and immediately began life-saving measures.

Both victims were transported to the hospital. Elizabeth Angle later died from her injuries, while the second victim, Gracie Brito, remains in critical condition.

What Investigators Say Happened

According to Frisco police, investigators determined that the girls were riding on a sled being pulled behind a Jeep Wrangler driven by Tucker. Witness statements indicate the sled struck a curb before crashing into a tree.

Police say the investigation is ongoing, with support from the Denton County District Attorneyโ€™s Office.

While Frisco police initially did not release the victimsโ€™ names due to their ages, the families later identified them. Elizabeth Angle and Gracie Brito were both 16 years old, and all three teens involved attend Wakeland High School. Elizabeth was a sophomore.ย

Elizabeth Angle was the daughter of Megan and Brian Angle and is being remembered as a bright, compassionate, and spirited young woman who touched many lives.

In a statement, her mother, Megan Taylor Angle, wrote:

โ€œIt is with deep despair and utter shock that Brian and I announce the passing of our beautiful 16-year-old girl, Elizabeth Marie Angle. She was a bright light, a fun spirit, a brave soul. She had just gotten a car and a license and had her whole life ahead of her. It was all taken away so abruptly in a sledding accident. Life is fleeting and precious. We will never be the same and will never forget how much love she brought to our family.โ€ย ย ย
